County overview

Building and remodeling across Cobb County

Cobb County is where we are based and where we have built the longest: Kennesaw, Acworth, Marietta, and the unincorporated neighborhoods between them.

We have worked in Cobb County since 1983, long enough to see much of its northwest side go from farmland to subdivisions. Across that time, the houses have fallen into three broad groups, and each needs a different kind of builder.

Three kinds of Cobb County house

Older in-town houses in Marietta and near downtown Kennesaw and Acworth are true remodels. They can involve plaster, old wiring, uneven framing, and past additions of uncertain quality. The job is to find those conditions early and price them honestly.

1980s–2000s subdivision houses make up most of north Cobb. They are structurally sound but dated: closed kitchens, tired baths, unfinished basements, and original decks and windows at the end of their lives.

New construction on infill lots and remaining acreage needs a builder who understands site work, grading, and drainage, and who can take a project from permit to certificate of occupancy.

Cities and unincorporated Cobb

Cobb County has several incorporated cities, including Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Smyrna, and Powder Springs, plus large unincorporated areas. Permits and inspections for a given address may go through a city or through Cobb County. We confirm jurisdiction before the proposal, then handle the permit and inspections.

Where we work most in Cobb

Most of our Cobb County work is in Kennesaw, Acworth, and Marietta, and each has its own page. We take jobs elsewhere in the county when we can reach them and service them properly. If you are outside those towns, call and ask.

Questions we get asked

Do you work outside Kennesaw, Acworth, and Marietta?
Sometimes. We take jobs elsewhere in Cobb County when we can service them properly. Call and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
Does it matter whether I am in a city or unincorporated Cobb?
It determines which office issues the permit and does the inspections. We check before pricing and handle the permit either way.
