Cherokee County · New construction
Woodstock is growing fast, and it accounts for much of our new construction work. Permitting and inspections are handled as part of every job.
Woodstock has changed more in the last twenty-five years than almost anywhere else in north metro Atlanta. Downtown and the older streets around it still have the character of a small railroad town. Around them, Towne Lake and the newer neighborhoods along Highway 92 and toward Holly Springs brought thousands of production-built houses, and more lots are still coming up for custom building.
That growth shapes the work we do here. A large share is new construction, usually on a lot the owner already has or is about to buy. The rest is remodeling houses that were built quickly and uniformly. Their kitchens, bathrooms, and unfinished basements all looked the same on the day they closed.
Many Woodstock neighborhoods have an HOA with written architectural guidelines covering exterior materials, colors, decks, fences, and sometimes window changes. We read them before we draw, and we submit for approval before work that needs it, so the board does not stop a job halfway through.
Inside Woodstock city limits, the city issues permits and schedules inspections. Outside the city, Cherokee County does. Either way we pull the permit, book the inspections, and keep the job from sitting idle while it waits on one.
